Mollie Spector Stone's "Vela Vela" is a tribute to the beauty and depth of black South African choral music. Finally, via DVD, we have an opportunity to be a part of the human chain that is oral tradition. The performances of the University of Cape Town Choir for Africa provide us with the privilige of unerstanding on a level we do not otherwise receive from sheet music. Thank you for this fabulous opportunity to train our choirs in such a valued oral tradition.
